The Matilde Dress is a lovely babydoll-style piece I designed last winter. With its relaxed fit, it’s the perfect everyday dress: comfortable yet effortlessly cute.
One of the great features of this digital pattern is its versatility. You can easily modify it to create different dress variations or even turn it into a blouse. In the video tutorial, I’ll guide you through how to make some of these variations.
Both the front and back of the dress are fully lined for added structure and coverage.
The Matilde Dress is suitable for any non-stretch woven fabric. Personally, I love making it in linen or cotton, natural fibres that are especially breathable and ideal for spring and summer designs. For a fall or winter version, I’d recommend using fabrics like corduroy, velvet, or a heavier weight cotton for added warmth and texture.
